Day 1:  We have a briefing and final gear check for the Mount Kilimanjaro Hike at Moshi Town. You are then  picked up and transferred to the Mount Kilimanjaro National Park gate at Machame for entry registration then start the trek to Machame Camp through thick rain forest. You have a packed lunch at a picnic site along the trail. Later, you have dinner and retire for the day at Machame Camp. (3000 m ). Full board

Machame route is arguably the most scenic and beautiful one. The trek begins on the South Western area of the Mountain and descend on the South Eastern side; this offers the climbers a varied scenery of Mount Kilimanjaro. Machame route is known as the ‘Whisky route’ compared to the Marangu route which is called ‘The coca cola route’ for it is more difficult for trekkers. Here, you sleep in camping tents as opposed to huts on the Marangu route. Machame route is ideal for those who want a more difficult climb, and are confident of their ability to hike for long periods over somewhat steep terrain.

Day 2: After breakfast, ascend to the Shira area through ridges and valleys heading to the next night stop at Shira hut; with your packed lunches on the way. Dinner and overnight at Shira Camp (3800 m). Full board

Day 3: Head eastward to a junction where we continue to Lava Tower Campsite (4500m), then descend to Barranco Camp thus allowing your body to adjust to altitude change. Enjoy your packed lunch at a picnic site. Overnight at the Barranco Camp. Full board

Day 4: After breakfast, hike the great Barranco wall then across the Karanga Valley and ascend to Karanga campsite for lunch. This day you have a hot lunch. You have the afternoon hike to Barafu Camp. 1700 hrs: Have dinner and take the day’s rest ready for the hike to the summit. This Night is spent at Barafu Camp (4600 m). Full board

Day 5: 0000 hours : Have a cup of coffee/tea and start the midnight trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro via Stella Point.   0600 hours : Reach the summit, Uhuru peak (5895m),have a short period of photo taking session and then descend to Barafu camp for breakfast/Brunch and a little rest. Then continue down to Mweka Camp for the days rest. Overnight at the Mweka Camp. Full board 

Day 6: 08h00: Walk down to the park gate where you say bye to the guides and porters, have packed lunches on the way and are dropped off at Moshi Town. Breakfast and lunch

Tanzania Attractions

 Tanzania's Southern Circuit

Selous Game Reserve:

The largest Game Reserve in Africa. It is crossed by the Rufiji River and its tributaries, which form a network of lakes ideal for boat safaris. It has spectacular wildlife to observe and the clients are assured of a close contact with Wildlife.The Park is unique in Ecological importance and this has made it designated a 'World Heritage Site' by the United Nations in 1982.

  How to get there:

  From Dar es salaam there is an option of a 7 hours drive or a 35 minute charter flight.

Activities :

Walking safaris, accompanied  game rangers. A trip to Stiegler's  Gorge, where the Rufiji and Ruaha  Rivers meet. A fishing trip on Lake Tagalala.

Ruaha National Park:

 It is situated in the centre of Tanzania and is well preserved Park. It is bordered by the Ruaha River and offers     spectacular view points. It hosts herds of elephants, giraffes, prides of lions and Greater Kudu, among others. Between July to December, the wildlife is concentrated on the banks of the river and around the watering    holes.

Mikumi National Park:

Situated  in the Mkata plains, Mikumi is dominated by hills and mountains, it is a small jewel.Its unique Wildlife species are  the vicious Wild dogs , which are abundant here. It has spectacular Mountain views and water falls.

How to get there:  

The drive from Dar es salaam to Mikumi National Park takes 4 hours or 1 hour by a chartered  flight.

Tanzania's Northern Circuit

Arusha National Park:

The park  is divided into 3 distinct areas namely: Ngurdoto Crater, Momela Lakes and Mount Meru.The most common animals found here are : Abyssinian black and white coloured monkeys, hippos, elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, buffaloes and occasionally leopards. On birds, more than 400 bird species have been recorded here. Mount Meru can be scaled within 3 days, utilising overnight accommodation in alpine huts on your way up.

Serengeti National Park:

Serengeti is a very expansive park and hosts the peerless spectacle of annual wildebeest migration. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the most awesome sights in the natural world.

Ngorongoro Crater:

Taller than the Kilimanjaro before it collapse, Ngorongoro forms part of the valley of volcanoes, a string of massifs that stretches along the Great Rift Valley from Mount Meru to the sulphurous Lake Natron.Ngorongoro Crater is a collapsed volcano, and the largest intact non-flooded caldera in the world. It is a home to more than 30,000 large mammals and countless smaller creatures. The crater hosts the highest concentration of lions in Africa.

OL Doinyo Lengai:

This is the Masai's 'Mountain of God' and is still active. Remote and rugged, it is frequently climbed by visitors looking for a taste of adventure.
