CKC 102: Nairobi Lake Nakuru Masai Mara Lamu Island

 

  Day 1

Arrival into Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After clearing customs and immigration formalities, you are met by a representative of CKC Tours and Travel and transferred to the Fairview Country Hotel. This is a cool Hotel in the cool suburbs of Upper Hill not far from down town Nairobi. Overnight at the Hotel.

  Day 2

Breakfast the Fairview Hotel. Later, one of our members of staff will link up with you for a briefing before introducing you to your safari driver/guide. Embark on the morning drive to Lake Nakuru National Park.
 

The sights are breath taking before you descend on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive for lunch at Lion Hill Lodge game viewing en route. Later you have a late afternoon game drive to spot flamingos, pelicans, buffalos, white rhino, the Rothschild Giraffe and other plains game. Later return to the Lodge for overnight.

  Day 3

You have a morning drive to the Masai Mara; arriving for lunch at Mara Sarova Permanent Tented Camp; game viewing en route. Seated right inside the Reserve in an indigenous forested area with streams sprouting right here, the Camp grounds provide a peaceful retreat zone. The tents are en suite with hot water and most of the trappings of good living. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the Reserve. Return to the Camp for overnight.
 

The Masai Mara is the most famous animal sanctuary in Kenya. It has the widest concentration of animals and it is possible to view most if not all the big five here. Bird life is also prolific with the secretary bird, ostriches, kori bastard, herons among others widely represented here.

  Day 4 and 5

You have two full days at the Masai Mara. Here you may undertake optional Balloon rides, visit a Masai tribal village as an option. Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing drives. Overnights at Mara Sarova Permanent Tented Camp.

  Day 6

Embark on the morning drive through Nairobi City with your packed lunches and onto the Wilson Airport. On arrival, take the scheduled flight to Lamu. On arrival at Lamu Airstrip; you are met by a hotel representative and transferred by Boat to the Peponi Hotel. It is near the Historical Lamu area, which is a United Nations Heritage site.  Overnight at Peponi Hotel.

  Day 7 to 11

You have five full days at this Historical area with good beaches. You may undertake optional deep-sea fishing, and or other water sports in addition to enjoying the sun, sand and sea.  Overnights at Peponi Hotel.

  Day 12

Breakfast. Morning at leisure. Lunch at the Hotel. Later, you have the afternoon pick up for the boat transfer to the Lamu Airstrip arriving in time for the scheduled flight to the Wilson Airport, Nairobi. On arrival you met by a representative of CKC Tours and Travel and transferred the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your home bound international flight.
